Unstretched canvas must first be stretched on stretcher bars (a wooden frame) before it can be hung by itself or inserted into a frame to be hung. Unstretched canvas is shipped rolled in a shipping tube. Stretched canvas is delivered to you stretched by us and arrives ready to hang or ready to insert in a frame. Stretched and framed art is delivered to you assembled and ready to hang. A giclee, pronounced zee-clay, is a process utilizing the latest digital technology and sophisticated machinery to best replicate original works of art. These works of art are brought to life on stretchable 100% cotton canvas. In the final stage of this process after stretching we spray on a coat of clear acrylic to protect the surface, enhance the colors and aid in the resistance of ultra violet penetration. The resulting product is an exquisite work of art with richness, stunning colors and clarity that will last a lifetime.
Because high quality is required, most museums today display canvas giclees when the originals are not available. These fine art quality reproductions are not only displayed in museums, they sell in retail art galleries for many hundreds of dollars. Depending on how busy we are at the time we receive your order, from 2 to 10 days. All orders are insured against damage and loss. We carefully package all orders in specially designed boxes to minimize the chance of damage but occasionally damage does occur. Please call us and we will make arrangements for a replacement to be sent out immediately at no cost to you. Be sure to hold onto the box and all packaging materials as the shipping carrier may want to inspect the package. 1. Each piece of art is custom made when ordered.
